"Agreed reduction in power tariff."
Besides reduction for industries, agriculture, trade and services, President Dilma Rousseff announced a reduction in electricity bills for households. The announcement of reduction in electricity tariff by up to 32% for the industry was well received by experts during a seminar on the topic at the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan). For consumers, the tariff reduction will be the order of 18%, compared to 16% previously forecast. For industry, agriculture, trade and services, will be cut up to 32%, against 28% promised. In addition to announcing the cuts in tariffs, Rousseff promised that energy production will increase 7% and more than 8,500 megawatts of power and 7,540 km of new lines will be deployed this year. Learn more.
